IBIS was built for Jhr (Freiherr) E. J. Van Holthen, the yacht is still sailing in one of the southern provinces of Holland. Though commissioned as a “director´s-launch” for Van den Akker, IBIS was used as a private yacht for the Van Holthen family from the beginning.
